Stoners in states where weed is legal are heavily warned about the dangers of driving under the influence of marijuana. While we definitely don’t condone this behavior, it is important to note that weed is not like alcohol, and has very different effects on the user. According to the High Times, those in Colorado who’ve been busting for driving high are getting their cases dropped in court.
“After deliberating the evidence for only thirty minutes, the jury determined that even though 27-year-old Ralph Banks may have technically violated Colorado law, there was not enough proof to find that he was guilty of stoned driving.”
