What Mile Are You At? 419.9, In Idaho

Do you have that friend that just can’t stop stealing the 420 mile marker? You know, the one who also has stop signs and crosswalk markers hanging in their bedroom. Well, Idaho’s Department of Transportation has set out to discourage this kind of behavior.

In an effort to deter smokers who like to puff up at the 420 mile marker, they have removed that mile all together and replaced it with an interesting, 419.9. Road signs, which tell us what to do in terms of traffic, have never before assigned morality or fueled a fire like this.

That does make us wonder though; how long before the 419.9 sign is stolen? Because that’s an even bigger novelty than the 420 mile marker.
