Colorado’s success with legalized recreational marijuana is inspiring other states to follow suit and propose bills that would not only decriminalize marijuana possession, but allow the controlled growth and sale of the plant.
Michigan’s the next state to step up and show lawmaker’s support for legal weed. Although they have allowed marijuana for medical patients since 2008, they are interested in opening sales and smokes for everyone.
State Representative Jeff Irwin announced this year at Hash Bash that he’s open to being one of the writers of Michigan’s legal weed law. According to MLive, he said, “It’s going to be Colorado improved in the Great Lakes state.”
What do you think about the rate at which states are proposing pro-pot bills? Which state do you think will be next?
